Is constant on necessary on a weapon light?

How often do you guys use it?

Is there anything wrong with only having momentary activation?

Thanks, BrightFlashlights.  How is your website going?

I use a Surefire M952XM07 on my M4. For my purposes I need both the constant on and momentary switches. As Brightflashlights already stated when my team enters a house, building, etc we train to strobe the light to not only disorient the occupants but also to hide our exact locations. The constant on is used primarily once the house, building has been cleared and we are doing a secondary search or if I am posted on a suspect that is in custody I would just leave the light on his/her person. Having both options, at least for my type of work, is necessary.
