If you're wondering what your PEQ-2A is worth...here's something to keep your eye on.

Look here...

ETA: I say it sells at $2850.

Sorry a good shopper can get them for around $1800.

Hey but if someone is stupid enough to pay $2800 I may have to find one up and make me a easy $1000.

I'm sure it's hotter than a $3 pistol.

Well alot of them are bought by private contractors(Blackwater etc) and the sell them when they get back to the states.

Not all of them are stolen, but when in doubt run away.

Don't waste your money on the MARS sight.  It's a boat anchor.

I do not want to hijack this thread, but could you post why this sight is a boat anchor on the NV forum  www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=6&f=18 or the lights and lasers section? This is one laser/sighting system I have not used. Thanks much!

Vic

Sure.  We were issued them in Iraq in 2004.  The ones that we were issued didn't have a NV IR laser but did have a visible red laser.  The red laser wasn't bright enough during the day time to use and I wouldn't want to use a visible red laser at night....gives your position away.

It uses one (IIRC) AA battery and we couldn't get the battery to last more than maybe one patrol and that was a patrol that was less than 6 hours.

The dot is very faint in the bright light of the desert and almost too faint to see.

It's very bulky for what you get and the price is stupid!!

What is it?

another IR stuff at eBAY

The guy selling those is in Hong Kong.  Probably the sam eguy selling knockoffs of Laser Devices stuff.  Honestly, I have thought about getting one of the knockoffs since the LD ones are so expensive and they won't sell to civvies.  Stupid FDA...
