I've been looking at the A2 for a while now. I like the idea of a standard bulb and LED's in one light. I've got a 6P with a KL5 5w LED head on it, and it kick's butt. My significant other hates that light with a passion.

With all the color choices for the LED's on the A2, I've narrowed it down to either white or yellow-green. Does anyone out there have experience with the latter of the two? My 5w head is a pure-white color, and i like it, but I know with the smaller LED's on teh A2, the color/performance will not be the same. I work nights with Security Forces on base, so discretion will be needed at times, which is why I was leaning towards the yellow-green.

The YG LED's were designed to NOT ruin you natural NV capability. This would be my choice.

Red, Green & Yellow/Green will all be better for the user's nightvision, your eyes will re-adjust to darkness much quicker when turn them off. The Y/G was primarily designed to work better with NVD's and help pilots see their instrument panels clearer with less risk of altering display panel colors.

If you plan on using the A2 as an all-in-one every day light then the white may be the better choice overall. The LED's won't be anywhere near as 'white' as your KL5, they're more of a pale purplish tint and because they're low output it won't significantly harm your NV.
