I found the Gladius is 80+ Lumens.

I'd say that the Gladius is loosely comparable to the U2, in both the max lumen output and allowing variable output. But, the Gladius allows stepless output adjustment, the u2 has 6 set output levels. The Gladius also has that strobe feature. Beam focus on the Gladius is noticably tighter, giving bigger range.

I wouldn't say it's stepless, but there are quite a few levels available on the Gladius.
