I'm interested in putting a light on my carbine.  It will be mounted on a short FF RAS.  I also use a verticle forearm grip.  The carbine is used for 3-gun and general shooting.  My questions are...

Are the 6v lights sufficient or should I opt for the 9v?  I'll be doing most of my shooting outdoors.

Tape switch model or the constant on/momentary on model?  The tape switch seems easier to operate but I've heard of problems with the connecting wire.  Thoughts?

For mounting, I'm leaning toward the ARMS throw lever.  Does anyone like the dual thumbscrews better?  Why?

Which mounting position do you like?  3 or 6 o'clock?

Thanks for your help.
