Anyone own one? I tried to order one direct but they said only sell it to the military. Wonder if they would consider a ARFCOM group buy? If anyone has pics I'd appreciate it.
Thanks |

I had seen it a few years ago when it first was demoed for mil production. This thing is a HUGE CASE! It is a modular design and come complete with all pouches and pockets. It is designed to be set up by the user how he wants and it allows storage for ALL ITEMS OF THE CURRENT SOPMOD II PACKAGE along with the full loadout of mags! That is why it is so big. Every SOPMOD item(203,suppressor, all the optics,ect..) had a pouch of its own. It only comes in the "KHAKI" color EAGLE offers. I belive the price was almost near $1000.00 at the time, it is NOT cheap. Also you HAD to buy it as the complete package, you could not just get the bag and add pouches over time to accomadate your optics and acessories. It was like a big two compartment luggage bag with one side fot the M4 and the other for the modular pouch set up. I never pursued it after as it was TOO EXPENSIVE and TOO BIG for my needs. The new eagle M4 "SIGMA" bag seems to be a smaller and more affordable option EAGLE offers now. But if I needed to carry EVERY ITEM of the SOPMOD KIT along with full mag loadout and the GOV was paying, I would use it. Hope this helps you!

Cool. Thanks! I'd love to see one. |

I spoke to Eagle Industries today. They are going to check into doing a run of these cases. I'll pass the info along when they get me a quote and minimum number needed to do a run.
That's great. Any chance they can email you a pic that you could post? Like I said, I'd love to see one.
Also, some specs on it would be great too. The problem I have with the Sigma is that it is a tad too small for my 16" bbl with vortex fp, but, as WIN9639445 posted, this bag is a bit bigger so maybe it is long enough. Semper Fi |

The only pic or two that I have seen was in one of the gun rags Guns and Weapons for L.E. or similiar about a year or so ago in the new equipment section. That when I called them the first time. Also remember it in a Trijicon ad too.

The "SIGMA" and SOPMOD M4 cases are made for the REAL MIL 14.5" M4 with the small regular flash hider on front. If you are trying to use a 16" M4 profile barrell with a VORTEX on it, you are always going to have the length problem being too long for the EAGLE M4 "specific" cases. From what I remember of the SOPMOD case it is just at exact length for the real MIL M4's as they try to make the cases as compact as possible for portability and weight.

That's at least a better answer than I got from them a year ago on the phone. Then it consisted of "Nobody would pay the price for one." And that was just asbout as much interest as they had in discussing the matter. |

If Eagle did a run of these, they would cost over $850 a piece. As mentioned, they run it as a complete item, not as components.
I have spoken to my rep a number of times and I just don't see this happening anytime soon. I also have a hard time believing folks would lay out close to $1,000 for a rifle case. Giff |
Ok, Good and Bad news. Good news their willing to do a run of theses cases. Bad news it will still cost around $500 for the case with all the pouches for the SOPMOD kit (M203, Suppressor, ect). Now I need to get a head count on who wants one (I need 25 takers for them to do the run). Please EMAIL me if your interested. I know $500 is still high but I was told it would retail for almost $800 and NOBODY outside SOCOM has received any. Also, the run will be limited to one color. When it goes to Group Buy everyone will have to be willing to settle on one color.

u know what?: first : thanks second: that's the only Surefire magazine I have so I'm really lucky today..lol picture is small but I can see the fastex on the internal pouches. looks pretty nice. |
I happen to have that copy of SFCT also. Case looks good to me!
You welcome , glad to be of help . PP out |

I would like to know more also. I would imagine based on my previous orders direct with Eagle that the wait would be extensive...BUT...since I was looking at a I-SHOT case and when I total up the necessary pouches I need etc.,.......the price rapidly approaches over $400.00 plus this deal looks attractive. I will probably get flamed for this but being that I have thousands invested in each AR I don't think spending a few hundred bucks for a serious quailty case is out of line. I wonder if it would be possible to put the soft case into a larger hard case for long travel? Say a Starlight...

I'm waiting on the Group Buy Forum top open up for new items. They have sent me the info on both items (actually two cases) that make up the SOPMOD case. The pics are drawings of the case not real pics but you can see how it sets up.
Can you email me the drawings or add a linky....I would especially like to know the outside demensions of the bag.......Thanks...!
The main weapon section case is 33" length 11" width 3" depth. The accessory case is the same dimensions as the weapon section. The weapon and accessory section zip together to form one case. However, the accessory side can be folded in half when not attached to the weapons sections and carried as a seperate smaller case.
PERFECT!! Thanks for the size specs. This case would fit my Starlight perfectly with the ability to have a little foam on all sides for heavier protection when necessary... I would like to see the drawings if you get a chance...Now...can we bribe someone to get it on a group buy...LOL...!
Looks nice...Does it have a separate compartment with webbing? Can't tell from the pic...2 piece zip together like the SOPMOD? What color would you do the run in? Dimensions?.......
The pics only show the weapon section of the SOPMOD case which is actually made up of two cases. The weapon section and the accessory section. They cases zip together to form one case. The accessory section can be detached and folded and carried as a smaller case. Sorry no pics of it are available yet.
