I received my CQ90 from ARin last week, and finally got it to mount it on my M4.
First off, the only other sling I have to compare it to is a CQB (Now Specter) MOUT single point sling. I'm a big fan of single-point slings, so I figured this would be a good comparison.
The CQ90 is VERY comfortable to wear. I find it more comfortable than the MOUT (it doesn't seem to bind on my neck as much), and it holds the weapon over on my strong side, rather than in the middle, keeping the rifle more "out of the way." It also seems to hold the weapon up higher.
The sling feels VERY solid, and looks very well put together. The buckles and stitches look very high quality. Even running around with the rifle bouncing up and down, I didn't feel it was going to break loose at all. One thing I think it has on the MOUT sling is the second quick-release buckle, that allows for easy removal from the body. For my purposes, the quick-release buckles work fine.
The only issue I had with this sling was with cross shoulder transitioning. Not to say that this sling can't do that. I can't do it with my MOUT sling either, so I'm pretty sure it's just operator error, and lack of practice.
I as of yet have NOT had a chance to get this sling out to the range to beat it up alongside the MOUT. Any testing was done with me running around and aiming at things in my office. I'm sure it was a sight to see.
All in all, this sling is seems to be a top quality product. Don't get me wrong, I'm no operator, nor do I play one on TV. But for range time, recreational shooting, and possibly even 3-gunning? This sling is right up there (and better in some regards IMO) with the Specter MOUT. Buy with confidence!
