I'm using an Eagle vest, with a crossdraw holster opposite AR15 mag pouches.

The problem is that when I have a pistol in the holster, and mags in the pouches, using a 3-point Giles sling is made quite difficult, especially while trying to avoid blocking the holster.  I can make it a lot better by using the sling on my left shoulder, but this only works with the fairly short AR15.  I also have an AR10, and that method is impossible with its longer length.

Anyone have any suggestions for smoother interactions?

(Yes, I am just an armchair commando)

Try a single point sling.... it could help.

replacing your current LBV/E?
crossdraw platforms suck quite frankly for transition drills and accessibility with a slung up weapon.  You may also want to revisit how you wear your sidearm from a crossdraw to a belted or dropped holster configuration.

then look at potentially going a single point sling.
