I've never had anything but a standard old-school style sling on any of my guns.

I am havingan AR15 completed that will have a FF front rail installed, and a Magpul stock with all sling options on it (snap and regular).

I want to retain the ability to install any type of sling (old type, or the new ones) after the build.

Given the gun is free floated, should I leave the front sling mount off the area under the front sight?  Are there any good sling mounts that will stick to the rail?

What are my options?  I need to decide some of this before the gun goes back together.

Yankee Hill Machine makes a sling stud that will mount to the rails. It's available from either them, of from bushmaster.
