I typically do not use magnification greater than Objective/Magnification less than 7.

Not sure what you mean by this - you obviously want a larger target diameter for where it hits your eyeball. Got that.
But... what level of magnification do you want? How big a scope? A 50mm objective can get you up to 7x with a Obj/Mag=>7 a 44mm objective will get you to 6x - but that is at the low end of the magnification range for variables that have those large objectives... and they are all BIG scopes.
Shooting small groups from a bench at 300 yards is different from shooting steel at 300 yards is different from hunting at up to 300 yards. Depending on your exact needs you may be better served by 2 $400 scopes than 1 $800 scope...
IE for hunting, a Leupold 1.25-4x - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1037990-REG/leupold_113165_vx_r_hog_1_25_4x20_30mm.html
And then for target/bench use one of the 6-24x target/varmint scopes from one of the quality makers like Leupold, Weaver, Burris, etc.
