It is a little confusing right now as details are still emerging from Burris. Do to the lengthly delay in getting the Tac-30 scopes to maket, Burris told us that they would send us enough of the new MTAC scopes to cover all the back orders we have on the Tac-30 scopes. I like the function of having the illumination off setting between each intensity setting. That was my only hold up with purchasing the TAC30 along with it being out of stock everywhere. Now I am glad I waited. I just placed my order with SWFA.

Wish there were more 'improvements'. The biggest improvement on the MTAC to me is the dimmer which is a big improvement but not enough to get me to replace my Tac30. I would've liked to see an updated reticle.
However, this is a fantastic deal for those who have not been able to a acquire a Tac30. |

I don't want to jack the thread but I have a question related to the MTAC 1-4x24. I can't find any details on the physical specs of this scope & I want to go ahead and order a mount. I currently have a Magpul MBUSII on my AR and would like to get a Bobro extended mount for the MTAC. Do you guys think this scope/mount combination will clear the MBUSII?

I just sold my TAC30 because I desperately need the money, but this offer is almost too good to pass up.
I do wonder if what looks like a smaller eyepiece/lens will result in a less forgiving range of head positions––the TAC30 is a little forgiving, which I liked. But then, most of the "tactical" scopes have a similar build as this. ALSO, I hope this scope weighs 13 ounces instead of the advertised 17 ounces (the TAC30 is only 13 even though it's advertised as 17––and, though people like Tomac have pointed this out, it's still up as 17 on the big 1X-4X discussion). @Phineas: Yeah, I thought the same thing...maybe they edited to the post to explain things AFTER all of the people asked the questions that were answered in what appears to be the original post. In any case, I was thinking next time I see a political debate on here (which I don't engage in), I should reference this post as an example of what kind of people populate the boards (as far as reading comprehension and logical deduction skills) ;o) |

I called Monday and found out they are in Q&C at Burris right now so its just a matter of time before they ship out. Just have to have some patience.
