I was thinking about doing a TA01B with a JPSight mounted to it or doing the TA11E.... does anyone have any opinions on these two scopes?  Or whether or not the BAC is worth it?

IMO the TA01B is the way to go because you get the precision with cqb.  The TA11E is just a good Combat optic.

Do you need the fine stadia lines at less than 300m though? At longer ranges the BDC is the same on both models.

I like the TA11E much better as it has much more eye relief. If it's going on a .308 I would not recommend the TA01B unless you like scope eye!!!

Right now I am trying to figure out what magnification I want.  I am actually now leaning towards the 5.5 model if I can dig up the money.

If your set on an ACOG then go for the TA11.  The TA55 is a very nice unit but it is very heavy and big for only a 5.5x scope.  I have a TA11C that I use on both my HK91 7.62mm and my RRA CAR A4 5.56mm when shooting heavy 75-77gr. rounds. Athough its BDC is cal. for .308 it tracks the heavy 5.56 ammo very well.  I like it much better than the Leupold 10x M1 LR tactical I sold to get the ACOG. Just my own opinion!!!!

Not really completely sold on anything.... do you have other suggestions?

What are you putting it on?

In most cases I would say the TA11E is the best choice.  TA55 too big and heavy for what it is.  TA01B not enough eye relief to function on a .308.

If you are looking for other similar options, I would say to look into the Accupoint scopes from Trijicon.

IMHO
