I got one of these yesterday and can honestly say that it has changed my mind on the Reflex II. The Cyalume stick seems to make a difference to me (fixes some of the washout issues).

I rate the REFLEX II behind the EOTech and Aimpoint simply because it has some washout issues. The RX09 has changed that and am not sure I would rate it 3rd any more. C4 |

Grant,
I have an original Reflex. Is there any item similar that would work for mine? I just hate it getting washed out in bright light. |

No there is not. The cyalume stick fixes the full sun washout issue! C4 |

That's great but in a year deployment that means something like 3-600 light sticks will be needed.
They should add battery illumination if they think they need it. The sight's fine as is- the sun washout isn't a problem when you won't be firing into the sun or lightbulbs. |
