Check each of your eyes, is the dot the same? If not then you have astigs time to go see the eye doctor.

I be damned! I do have astigmatism and was using the scope without the glasses. Once I put them on, I see a dot!

Does anyone know why this happens? the dot looks good with my contacts in but with out I see bunch of dots.

It is becasue the lens of your eye is shaped like a football instead of beng round.
