Just got my new MATECH BUIS installed today, thought I’d share a few pics. Range time tomorrow morning while Frau Quib cooks the turkey, German potato dumplings and kraut. I’ve got a lot of zeroing to do, my BUIS and my sons Aimpoint clone!

Enjoy………

I like.

I put one I picked up from the EE on a 20" flat top w/Aimpoint.  Still debating if i should use it on a carbine instead.

I’ve seen your MATEC  before. Your downloaded pics tied me over till mine showed up in todays mail!

Quick question: When zeroing the MATEC is the elevation knob set at 300m or the line just below 300m?

I love my Matechs.  I've got three now.  The sight picture is outstanding and it is elevation adjustable.  Quite cool when I put my Ciener in as I can adjust for the .22 LR drop.

So you just click it to the distance you're shooting at with that lever?

That's Fing awesome!

Just put the lever on the range and you are good to go.  It is calibrated for the M4 or M16A4, depending on which one you sight it in for, and you are good to go.  Much better IMHO than the ARMS, sturdier, cleaner sight pic.  Spring loaded, protected, sturdy, THE gubment issue sight.  It's the only BUIS I have now,  three of them, other than an ARMS 40L which is what fits my Mod. 0 rail.  I've bought two Matechs for the price of one Troy and personally prefer the Matech even at the same price.

Surely they don't just materialize and go straight to ebay or the ee. Does anyone know where they are sold retail?

No, they don't.  Email Wes at MSTN for availability. I use them exclusively on all my RECCEs.

Bought one late in 2004, and promptly broke the screw that it came with.  If you're used to dealing with the likes of KAC, ARMS, and Troy, do not over torque it!
I don't like it as much as my KAC 300M, it sits kind of high and takes up one more rail than the KAC.
