Hi,

I will be picking up either a TA11D (Triangle) or TA11F (Chevron) in the next week or so, assuming I can find one for a decent price.

Anyhow, I have only had a chance to look through the TA31F and TA31RCO (Chevrons) so I pretty much have a feel for what that reticle picture feels like, but I have not been able to look through an ACOG with Triangle reticle.

Thus my questions are:

1) is the Triangle faster than the chevron for BAC?
2) is the Chevron more precise for shots from 200 to 400 meters?

Thanks in advance,

Tgrds

The triangle should be faster for most people...simply because it is a more solid and brighter spot to "see" in your field of vision.

As for the accuracy, by the time you get to 300 and 400 yards you will most likely be using the BDC lines and they are the same for both models.

yes
yes
the two would serve two different roles

triangle being more of a reticle which would be easier to pick up faster
and the chevron being a thin line for more precise shots

I like the Chevrons better myself.  And I know for a fact JTAC Supply has some cause I just left from there and played with one while I was there.

Thanks for you insights,

I think I am just going to go with the TA11F (Chevron). I know that I like that reticle from looking through the TA31F's. I would hate to pay that much money and take a chance with the triangle reticle and not like it.

I will post some pics when I get it mounted up,

i have the ta31f and ta31 and think that the ta31a will be a happy medium!

triangle is next on the list in either ta31a or the compact acog

Quoted:
1) is the Triangle faster than the chevron for BAC? YES
2) is the Chevron more precise for shots from 200 to 400 meters? YES

Thus why I chose the TA31A.  Im realistic about where the majority of any shots I might have to take will fall.
