Anyone tried this Russian Scope?

I have the side mount version (4x) on my Vepr and love it.  I just wonder how it would work on a flat-top upper?

Also........since the scope was designed to be mounted on the side, will mouting it on the AR cause any zeroing difficulty?

Jarhead,

I have one of these, built like a tank (very heavy but strong) and the glass is very clear and bright (reat light gathering). Zero is no problem and seems to be very repeatable and holds zero well after removing and re-mounting.

The illuminated reticule is not very bright but is more than fine in the low light/dusk environments it was designed for, the retical is etched on glass and very crisp, I have shot woodchucks out to 450 yards using this scope.

e-mail me if you have any other questions.

Jeff
