Anyone use an EOTech 500? The price is sure right at $251. Anyone know the difference between this and the 511, which is fifty bucks more?

The 500 series is basically identical to the Bushnell HoloSight, which you can find for even less.

The 510 series includes an extra armored hood to ive added protection to the optic plane.  This cannot fail to be a good thing,
