If co-witnessing is NOT important to you, then I would look at the ARMS #16A...

+1 The 16A keeps the AImpoint about 1/2" lower than the lowest rings you could buy and put on a carry handle scope mount. If you are putting it on top of the handle, this is the only way to go. IMHO |

Chuck, I am interested in your comment regarding the ability to "find the red dot". This is a picture of a rifle belonging to my shooting buddy Old_Painless with a carry handle mount for an ACOG. I shoot this rifle quite often with no problems. Would the Aimpoint be more difficult to use on the carry handle than the ACOG? |
