Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - NC Star Scopes

I recently got the chance to look one of the NC Star scopes over.  It looked good,very clear glass,etc.  It had a very good price on it and I am thinking about buying one.  Anyone know anything on these scopes,or have the chance to try one out on the range yet?  Thanks

I have an el-cheapo 30mm 3-12x NC Star scope for the time being.  Saving up for an ACOG from the group buy.  It's clear, but parallax is terrible above 7x.

Really crappy....take notice of how fat the reticle is (it will completely block out any decent sized target @ 100 yds).  The only reason I know is a friend of mine bought one despite my telling him not to.  Needless to say, he admits his wrong doing.

Generally say no to NCStar and Leapers. Good for playing with the scout mount concept on a milsurp with pistol scope, but that's about it.
