I have a GG&G front [ flip ] sight coming and need a rear for this flattop car. I like the open top style front btw. Arms 40 was on my mind but the horizon line apperature
 is out. Protected apperature on the rear will be a familliar sight picture for me. Depth/mounting position is also important. A-1 carry handle are my favorite for example. Any suggestions? |

Buy the ARMS #40 with the regular sight apertures.

If it doesn't have to be a flip up type, definitely get the LaRue BUIS

Folding, to back up a Leupold scope. The scope is the only item which I want to apply/remove.

I have a ARMS#40 with a Bushmaster BMAS flip up front sight on their 3-rail gas block. Problem! Can't zero the ARMS as front post is bottomed out and I'm 2" low at 50m. I'm going to shorten (mill) the threads on the front post to drop it lower. You should check that the front/back are matched to enable you to zero it. GG&G's rear sight should be matched to their front sight.

Why don't you just file the top of the post instead of trying to get the post to thread down lower? Just get the post flange level with the front sight housing and file it down. Is it possible that you got that lip up front sight that is made to go on a rail system that is level with the flat top? |

If it doesn't have to flip go LaRue.
If it does have to flip I really like my #40L but would like to try a Troy. |

If it isnt a flip up i recommend the LMT.
It's rugged and i like the elevation adjustements.. |
