I've been playing with my newly acquired ML2 and noticed a red reflection at some angles.  The pic below was taken while the unit was off, but it happens when it's on too. Is this normal???

Yeah, thats normal. I sent back two to SWFA before I relized that was normal. Unfortunately, backlighting happens a lot. It is about the only complaint I have w/ my Aimpoint. -Justin

The reflection off my face is exactly why I don't mount it out on the bbl.  It is too distracting.

I also found it a little distracting, but now that I know it's not broken, maybe it won't bother me as much.
