I'm getting ready to buy my first AR - a BM 20" V Match.  I'd like to learn on iron sights, but want the flaptop so that one day I can play with optics.

Question, does the front sight get in the way of the scope.  A very friendly BM rep told me that if the scope was a certain power (don't remember the number he gave me), then the front sight would not be obstructive.  What is your practical experience?

At 3-4 power, you see a blur.  Above that it pretty much disappears.
