Hello.  Which sight would you recommend to use in combination with an ARMS #45C SIR?  A stardard front sight base or a flip-up front sight base?  Thanks.

Is there any reason you NEED a flip up front sight?  If not I would go with the free one on your rifle.  If you have to have a flip up for whatever reason I suggest the PRI as it has an excellent sight picture, longer sight radius than factory, is light and wont break if you bang the crap out of it, it just folds back down.

I'd leave it alone as it sure is always there and reliable, and not in the way of anything that I consider a problem.
Good shootin, Jack

I have flip-up front sights on my EoTech and Aimpoint configured AR's.  IMHO, the sight tower obstructs a small, but possibly crucial area of your field of view.  I have fixed sights on my AR's with ACOGs, though.
