Does anyone else's Eotech make new batteries into low batteries while turned off?

My 502 will flash if new N batteries a week after new batteries are installed, without being turned on.

Batteries are totally dead within 2 weeks in gun case.

Is this normal?

This is far from normal!  I've had mine in my 551 for a year now and still going strong.  I shoot at least 3 times a week and leave the sight "on" during the entire outing (couple hours+or-)!

mine went dead after about 6 months. hmmm. should i have eo tech fix this?
