I have an Aimpoint 5000 that washes out in bright light even at its highest setting. Is the ML2 significantly brighter? Is there any problem seeing the dot in bright sunlight?

Yes it is.  Ive only one has the sun so glaringly bright that had to LOOK for the dot, but that was from glare off the side of a vehicle.  I flipped up the lense cap and OEG'd it.  The ML2's are a LOT brighter.
