I saw in the shot gun news these scopes.  See Below:

1) 10 X 42 $299.95

2) 10 X 42M (side focus) $399.95

a)  what do you think of these scopes?

b)  would they be good on a M4 ? M1A ?

c)  what is the big difference between the two?

d)  is it worth an additional $100 for side focus?

any help is appreciated.

I own two of those scopes, a rear focus and a side focus. The optics are very clear but not quite as bright as a Leupold, but not as expensive either. They're worth the money IMHO, and I'd buy another one.
