One observation on cheap anything. He who buys cheap buys often....
Have had BSA, NC Star, and BEC scopes. All look great but don't hold up. Best bet, buy the best you can afford, even if you have to put it on a CC, and you will be much happier. I have spent more money in return costs than most good scopes.

Again I'll say it depends on what you want the optic to do, or do with the optic.

The NcStar scopes are fine for a $30 scope, but don't expect it to perform like a Leupold or Nikon.

I currently have an NcStar 4x30 compact on my AK-74 and one on an AR carry handle mount, and both have "held up" just fine under a couple thousand rounds and normal range use. If I wanted something to slog through the muck or shoot 800 yards or go into combat with, I'd spend more $$ for more quality. For use at 100 yards or less on low-recoil weapons in controlled conditions, they're fine.
