I've recently read somewhere that the new 4x Magnifier from EoTech wasn't compatible with the EoTech 557.223. That seems really retarded, and would like someone to confirm or bust this myth.
Also, while you're at it, how do people like the 557.223? I'm interested in getting one.

If you can use a fake magnifier with it, I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to use the real thing.

They are absolutely compatible, but it is just impossible to get the 4x out of EOTech at the monent....production has been slowed with demand from other product line.

4X magnifier with Flip-To-Side quick detach (works with all existing HWS units) List at $799.00
3X magnifier with Flip-To-Side and quick detach (works with all existing HWS units) List at $499.00
Using the list prices why would you pay $300 more for 1x more?
The 4x will work just fine you can use any magnification you would like 1.5x, 20x, or whatever magnification you would like it will work.
I wouldn't pay more, but I was curious if there was a problem due to the 4 dot reticule of the .233, but it doesn't sound like there's an issue. Cool beans!

If you knew how many times I used the search function a day, you'd probably laugh at me. That being said, it was a multiple question thread, which, IMO, warrents a tidy new post :)
Thanks for the link.

I actually like the 4x better than the 3x. The 4x has a "square" field of view just like the 557...
