THUMB

I use the thumbscrew so I don't have to worry about finding the right size hex wrench when working on or cleaning the gun.  I do, however, tighten down the thumbscrew with a coin or key.

LaRue makes a throwlever mount and if I had that, I would locktite the hex screw to the mount.

Thumbscrew for me.  I usually have a coin I can use to check to see of the screw is tight.

The thumb screw is fine as long as you use a coin to tighten it.

LaRue Mount - seriously.

When I mount the EOTech to the LaRue I use the Hex Head with some LocTite.

Before I had the LaRue I used the YHM large head screw.  This allowed me to remove the sight when I needed to w/o the use of tools (or a coin).

Just remember to tighten finger tight then 1/4 turn more - don't overtighten or you'll break that screw.

I use the same exact setup. Larue repeats zero better when mounting/dismounting.
