The link below is a thread I started comparing aluminum mags to stainless steel ones for which can run the most amount of ammo through it before it is shot. I asked to assume netiher would be dropped abused, thrown around, etc.

For this thread, are aluminum or stainless steel mags less likely to break if thrown around loaded or unload, dropped, used roughly, etc?

Something to keep in mind is the metal for aluminum mags is twice as thick as the metal in stainless mags, IIRC. I think the stainless ones weigh a little more, however.

Agreed. OP, I get it. You want to make informed decisions and get the best you can. Been there. I've had many "bests" over the years and from experience, buy Gen3 pmags or Okay Ind. surefeed aluminum mags and be done with it. You're welcome
