I've searched and couldn't find much.

I recently jumped on the PMAG wagon.  Do they have plans to make PMAGs for AK's?

I dunno if they do or not, but the retention tab on the back of the mags seems like it'd be a bitch to make strong enough to work long term.

No, Magpul doesn't make AK mags.

Bulgarian waffle mags have steel reinforcement in the feed lips, front and rear lugs, and the floorplate slots. They are as durable (if not more cuz they don't dent) as all steel AK mags.
