Hi, I recently purchased 8 mags with some ammo for $60 and I was just wondering if someone could tell me if these are good early mags and what they might possibly be worth? Actually any info on the mags would be great.
6 of the mags are marked Simmonds with the other 2 having different markings.
I also posted on the ammo section for some info on the ammo. The way this deal worked out the seller sold me the mags for a $1 each. I didn't see how I could go wrong at that price. Sort of a newbie to AR15's.

Thank you,
Jr. :)

Ya' done good!

Those mags are in minty condition, & sell for $20+ around here...The ammo looks good, to. I would shoot it (unless it has some collector value?)

I'd sure like to get a good deal like that!

Those mags suck!  I'll give you $5 each just to take them off your hand so you don't have to deal with those terrible mags! [;)]

I'd LOVE to get a deal like that!  Good job.

If the rest of the mag looks as good as the floorplates they are worth $20 to $30 each, good find!

Hi, Thank you for the replys & information on these mags. Also for the funny comments, lol.
These mags appear to be in pretty good shape. Would it be a good idea to take the ammo out of the mags? Don't want to harm the springs or followers. I'm also wondering if the ammo does have any collectors value considering the dates on it. I don't know if it can easly be purchased. If so I would just properly clean it up and store it in one of my ammo cans.

Thanks again,

Jr. :)

You got a great deal. I agree about checking out the ammo before you run it through your rifle.

Thank you for the many helpful replys. I'll probably go through all the ammo tonight just to be on the safe side.

Thanks again,

Jr. :)
