I'm paying $15 at the only local gunstore that carries USGI mags (and Thermolds).

The gunshows I go to in Colo Springs & Denver have folks selling them for a min of $20/30 rd mag for mags that are about 80%-90% condition.
$15 seems like a good deal to me!
What kind of shape are they in?

... I have finally seen prices come down around here a bit in anticipation of the AWB sunset.

... On average, a year ago $18-$20/per

... Today, $12-$14/per

... I'm up to 100 USGI mags now. I won't buy more unless the value is there.

That sucks, I wish I couls get some $15 mags around here, I pay at least $25 for them, nobody has them for less and nobody is willing to drop the price.

I recently bought a couple of Adventureline 30's, solid 90% condition, for $7.50 each at
a local gunshow. Usually pay $12 to $15 each
for decent GI's.

I should add that these mags are in fair shape (60-80%) and that he never realy has a lot of USGIs in stock.

$9.95 for Orlites at local shop (all he carries now) gonna try to get him to carry English mags maybe he'll be cheaper than $22 that's the cheapest I've found them around here

At the local gun shows:
Orlites are $20 (mail order $10-15)
British mags are $25,
new USGI $30ish,
used USGI are $15 (varying conditions...ratty looking to 80%+ Colt).

Colt 20 round mags are going for $25.

The best deals I've found for the highest quality USGI magazines, both 30 and 20 round, were right here on the ar15.com "Equipment Exchange".  I have found the various advertisers that I have dealt with to be  accurate in their descriptions, and honest and dependable in dealings. Good Deals with Good Guys!

Is it that the ban is inflating the prices of the magazines, or is it a prohibition on US military surplus? Will the price of NIW USGI Mags drop if the ban ends, or will there still be a premium because there is no source? I'm a little fuzzy on this. Anyone?

Even if there is a surplus ban on USGI 30rd mags(I don't think there is a ban on mags, only ammo, but I'm not sure), companies like BUshmaster, and Colt, and Armalite and other AR manufacturing companies will be able to sell their 30rd mags to the public

No doubt that the ABCs would make available 30rdrs, but would the premium on USGI stay the same?
Well, no one seems to know if Colt would jump on the bandwagon yet. Tho they are hard up for cash.

I will go as high as 15 for a USGI in 80-90% condition. I am the dude that picks through every single bargin bin at the show trying to find the one that the owner accidentally put there. It usually gets me a mag or two per show.

Made in England = $25 w/green followers

Best place I've seen for consistent quality NIW pre-ban USGI 30-rd mags is RGuns. I've bought at least 6 of the LaBelle 30-rd mags from these guys for $25 a pop with no complaints. Some of the used stuff that I've purchased from my fellow AR15 members has been good and some has been absolute junk! I'm tired of getting burned on the used mag market, when for a few $ more, I can get genuine NIW USGI mags.

I agree if you can NIW USGI/Colt for a good price get some. I have one.

How many do you NEED (another thread perhaps).  I figure I've got about 50 (30 rounders) and 10 (20 rounders).  I'm good.

Price wise though, I hate to say this but new Colt mags are going for $40-50 around here.  NOT TO ME!  But those are the prices I've seen.

I hope the law makers consider the war that preceded the document we call our Constitution that they have been using as toilet paper since beginning in the 1930's.
