What about the magazines being produce by HK? I thought they were Teflon finished magazines and if so maybe HK will sell them to the public if the AWB ends?

I read some where that the "new" english mags are HK mags...has anyone else heard this/can confirm this or is it BS?

I've got some LaBelle's new in the wrap.  They are dated
"A November 1988" "Type 1 Class B Style 2" and some other numbers....

Are these teflon? They have black followers.

Like Troy said, Teflon is a superior finish. If you think you have a teflon mag, compaire it (closely) to a new Bushmaster 10 rounder. If it's a La Belle, there should be subtle but sure simularities.

I have some DPMS LEO magazines that are black teflon. They are date coded 3/02. Any idea on who makes these? They are damned good magazines.

The Teflon seems to be a better finish and more durable than the moly lubricant. I am only using and purchasing the Teflon Mags now.

I remember reading on this board a few years ago about someone refinishing mags with a teflon finish.  I bought a few refinished mags from him before the last kalifornia ban.  Does anyone remember who that was, and if he still does it?  I have a few mags I would like redone in teflon.  Seeing as how I can't buy new ones.  Thanks!

FYI, my last 2 Bushmaster 10-rounders have been teflon coated....one was a frankenmag (before I ripped it apart for the green follower), and the other one is of the new 1-piece variety.

So is there some teflon spray or something for refinishing USGI mags with teflon?  I'd be interested in doing that.

Brownells markets their own brand of sray-on Teflon finish.  I've used other epoxy cured coating in the past and have gotten professional results.

Troy:
After I read Natez's first post about the BM mags, I went out & got mine out of the patrol car. I found one mag stamped 1/02 (I THINK this one came with the rifle last year when I purchased it), and the other six have no dates at all. All are BM 30 rounders, with the BFI/striking snake floorplates, and all appear to be finished in gray teflon, or something similar. The six unmarked mags were purchased about 6-8 months ago from a BM distributor. All seven mags are stamped Restricted: Law
Enforcement/Government Use Only.

I paid, IIRC, $15.00 per mag for the six unmarked mags. I know they came from BM, not out of the distributor's inventory, because I had to wait for him to order them.....

Think I'll call him tomorrow & see if he can get some more for me....
