I was trying to see the expansion of this particular round (WInchester 55 grn FMJ)

This particular round was blowing the poop out of the back of my target.  It was splitting My target better than me .338 and my 30.30  I know I didnt believe it either...

Here's the thing Im new to the .223 scene except for my military days '89-93 two tours in GULF Pretty much got out of it after I got back 'cause I guess it was to much to fast.  But know I'm back...So I bought me a new LE6920 a month or so ago and put a P223 for quick acquation  after seeing it knock the crazyness out the back of my target How could I catch the round and see the expansion?

I figured bunch of phonebooks right?  wrong...

Should I have soaked them in water first?

Not sure why you're expecting a FMJ to expand.

FMJ may or may not fragment but it doesn't expand.
