In case it wasn't obvious from Zhukov's reply, Ulyanovsk and Tula are two different russian factories.  Some say that MC is made in the "better" of the two.

In both of my RRA ARs the MC gives me tighter groups than the BB, but I've only tried boxes from one lot of each.  Since BB and MC are typically the same price I have been buying MC recently, although BB is easier to find.

Quoted:
Wolf MC has a copper-coated, steel jacketed projectile, Wolf BB used to be exclusively copper jacketed in .223.

Zhukov:  Are you saying that MC is a steel core with a copper coating, or that it is a lead core with a steel jacket and a copper coating/wash?

Regardless of whether a steel core or jacket, is there enough copper on top to protect my barrel?

Thanks,

Ron

Steel JACKET, lead core, copper coating on the jacket.

I don't know for sure if there's enough copper coating, but I assume so. Personally, I would have no problems shooting it through my rifle.

Thanks!  Good to hear since I bought quite a bit of it recently.
