Why? They fail to make adequate penetration. I'd take M193 over Winchester SPs.

The lighter 40-45 grain HP stuff doesn't penetrate enough, but the 55 grain does quite well. I have dead deer and hogs to prove it.

Winchester 55gr SP has only 9" of penetration, which does not meet the 12" minium*.
Shooting an unarmed deer from an angle you get to choose is NOT the way to select ammo to be used in a situation where you will have few (if any) choices. You most likely will need MORE penetation than you would when hunting.
