Do you guys or girls or those who don't know, think that the military may come up with a diffrent powder to be used for the 5.56 to get more speed out them shorter barrels that seems to be the current craze?

It would be unlikely that the military would switch powders.  The only way you are going to increase the velocity of the bullet in military loads is to decrease the bullet weight.  The military has just about wrung all the kinks out of the 5.56 round in the 40 years we have been using it.  Unless we see some sort of wonder powder come out (like smokeless when black powder was in common use) any increase in velocity to the standard bullet would just produce pressures that would be too high for the rifle or you wouldn;t be able to get the proper amount of powder in the 5.56 case.

Stick with the 308 and you won;t have to worry about this problem.
