Is that surplus Radway SS109 ammo any good? I found 750 rounds of SS109 with stripper clips for $150. Is that a fair price?

thanks,
Ron

Best check on this, but IIRC Radway is british military ammo downloaded by 20% so it would function in the SA-80A1. Check on this before you pass it up.

BTW, for practice or training, M193 is as good as SS109 and is cheaper. Better for defense too. I don't know why M855/SS109 is more desirable.

I've seen several people buy this, and every one had problems with their ARs. Fail to feed was the most common - not enough recoil to function the gun.

I went through a can of 900 with zero problems out of a BM 14.5" M4gery.  It was decent but not loaded very hot.  150 seems a little steep, I would try some Hotshot SS109 or some of the XM855 ammo floating around before I would buy the RG ammo.

+1 for the Hotshot/Bosnian.
