Any word on this for defensive ammo? A search for Corbon turned up nothing.

This type of ammo will work well in direct-in frontal shots to the chest. But it may not penetrate deep enough to incapacitate when dealing with profile shots. Again, if this round will give you 8-9" of penetration, that will work fine much of the time. But you would be better off choosing something that will give you the necessary penetration to incapacitate regardless of the angle of your shot or if the bullet should have to go through an arm (think of a guy pointing a gun at you with his arms up at chest level). Black Hills 75 gr OTM, Black Hills 68 gr OTM, Winchester 64 gr Powerpoint and some various other similar ammo would likely be a better choice because it will penetrate to the necessary depths to give you a little added insurance and it does so with really good performance. Once again, you can choose ammo that penetrates deep enough most of the time or a round that will penetrate deep enough in tissue nearly all the time. I would choose the latter if I were you.
