I was at Gander Mountain last night and found Wolf 223 on sale for $2.49 for a box of 20.  I know it is not the best ammo but at $124.5 for a thousand I thought it was a deal, especially in light of ammo prices lately.  I have a decent stash of better ammo, thought this would be good for plinking.

Not everywhere in TX they are being that generous, I'll have you know. Have you been to a gunshow lately? When I checked with a bunch of the DFW guys, Wolf was in very short supply at the last Market Hall show. In Austin, it was running $120 PLUS tax last time I checked, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has gone up since then.

Went to the Bigtown (Mesquite) show today.  No Wolf .223.  Also, all ammo prices seems to be going up.  Shit, Dallas Reloading was selling .45 ACP 230 gr. ball for $0.20/round in 500 round cans.  I remember not too long ago paying $0.16/round or less in 100 round lots of the same thing.

Does Sportsman Guide ever have Wolf in stock?  Is it worth me joining if they don't have the merch?
