Can't answer your question as I've never had one myself, but I was just curious as to how your build is coming together? Have you gotten your upper yet? And remember, post pics when it's done!

 You refering to the capscrew recessed in the bottom of the block ?

The screw is to tension the block in the magwell.

Yep, that's it - I'll have to fool w/ it. The block seems pretty tight already - does it help tension the mag inside the block at all?

Got my upper today from ADCO - arrived in just 2 days. I'm still waiting on Eotech that I traded my .223 upper for.

Well I don't want to hijack your thread....but I'm just so proud of my baby!!
I got my Eotech on Tuesday.....still waiting on my mag block. It should be here this week and then it's shootin' time!!

It won't make the mag any tighter in the block.
