The second part of my question is do I have to change out my two stage trigger? If so, I might just use my Bushmaster lower.

Once your bolt is ramped, the underside of it is exactly like the .223 bolt carriers.  If your trigger works in .223, it'll work with the ramped 9mm bolt.

I don't recall what Joe charges for the ramping, but he's very reasonable and does good work.
