I’m sure it’s been done before, but lets see some pics of your sub-caliber arf!
Here’s mine. A little Colt 9mm. I registered it as an SBR and had the barrel cut down to 10-inches. The thing is an absolute blast to shoot.  |

Okay, I'll play. Here's my much-mentioned DPMS .22 M4 upper on a pre-ban EA/Quality Parts (now Bushmaster) lower, with a $18 gun show 4x compact Chinese scope, $10 gun show mount, and $9 Walmart rings. This lash-up will put shoot Winchester Dynapoints into 3/8" @25 all day long; best group @ 50 so far is about .665" with most groups running at or just under an inch. I guess the kid and I are getting close to 2000 troublefree rounds through it with no more maintenance than some Rem Oil on the bolt and recoil spring every so often. (Cleaning guns is for COLD weather!)
Oops, forgot to mention the cheap fake $50 SARCO Chinese copy carry handle. I LIKE this thing.

It's all me! I originally registered as ch139 but never really spent much time here. Started hanging out more and more about a year ago, but I couldn’t remember my original username so I created JTR8541. I recently came across a scrap piece of paper with the info on it so I just changed gears. I apologize for the confusion. Thanks for paying attention to my rifle though. |

Is that an AWC Mk 9 suppressor? If it is I'm really curious what you used for the free float handguard... I want to do something very similar to this, but since my MK 9 has a large 2" OD, I am having a tough time finding a tube that will fit over the can. |

Gunbert, I have an AWCMK9 and got the idea from SBR7_11 and joeblack. I use a nomex cover and hold onto the suppressor while shooting. Here are a couple of pics. This may be another option?

They are 40 round FX / Simunition mags. There are also 20 and 30 rd mags. They were original clear plastic, but I used a little krylon to paint them, leaving a window to count the rounds. They also hold the bolt open on the last round. I've called around a few places to find some more, but the dealers that I've talked to will only sell them directly to LE Training Departments. Maybe soon we might be able to buy them or someone will make a metal version.

Gunbert, Dans method would be the easiest/least expensive, just need to bring yourself to cut a perfectly good tube.
As to the can wrapping, Dolpin Shooters (wife "Beep" makes them) can wrapper would be a nice solution to grabbing the can. |

When I got them, 3 out of the 6 were spliting down the middle - they are built from two pieces that are bonded together. I used a little super glue and they are holding up. But they were over ten years old. Kind of like the old ramline 10/22 mags that would split after heavy use. They also have the Rame-line type of wound spring. I've had a chance to use some of the newer 30 rd mags and they look better made with a regular spring. |

Does exactly what is supposed to do.... hold plain old Uzi mag in position for feeding of Colt patterm 9mm system. Be advised, as posted in another thread-reply, it is cut from the factory to use the "mil-contract" mags, those that have the folded seam down the rear of the mag body... Commercial IMI will not fit, as you need to open the rear corner radius inside the block, refer to the Hy-Tech fitting thread tacked at top of page. Only negative is the Uzi mag release is backwards... |
