Does the "gas buster" charging handle offer any advantages on suppressed 9mm ARs? I know they make a difference when used on suppressed 5.56 ARs, but since 9mm is not gas operated, will it just be a waste of money?

I agree.  Pretty much all the gas on a blowback AR is coming out the ejection port.
