Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - HK416 parts kit question?

I am going to populate my BRN-4 lower with the parts kit I received with my HK416D upper kit. The LPK is minus the safety axle and autosear. Will any AR safety work with the HK LPK? I would seek out a MR556 safety axle and levers, but they are rather hard to find.

It depends if your trigger kit is old "normal" or new 2-stage "safe on hammer down" style. Normal one use regular AR15 style safety, new use safety with slightly bigger diameter of working part.

I went ahead and assembled everything on my BRN-4 lower and all seems to be well. My kit is a AH date coded kit with the old M4 style stock, so I assume its the single stage trigger as my regular AR safety seems to work fine.
