I'm done with my 5.56 upper and am getting ready to put together a lower.
I'm using a Rainier Arms non-FA upper, Adams Arms mid lightweight kit, Spike's bolt, Daniel Defense middy CHF lightweight barrel, Troy 9" extreme tube, and Trijicom TA31.
The lower will have the POF receiver tube and a Magpul CTR.
Which spring and buffer do I use? I've been browsing Brownells, but I don't know what to use.
Any help?
Thanks!

Shouldn't make any difference what action spring and buffer you use as long as they're for a carbine.

What's a "non FA upper?"  "Uppers is uppers" in my experience.

Non FA uppers don't have a cutout on the underside for the auto-sear to move back and forth.

I have always had great luck with the tubbs buffer springs. They are a flat wire spring and good for 500,000 cyclings.

Who makes a action spring that eliminates the twang.. when fired. I thought that someone said a Wolf spring did not twang when fired.

Sprinco has really good springs. I run them in my carbines.

I just finished up a build using Spike's Tube, ST-T2 buffer and their Mil-Spec 17-7 Stainless Steel Carbine Buffer Spring. I'm very pleased with their products...Very quiet and next to no recoil. In all honesty I'm going to be putting the Spike's Piston kit in both my CMMG Piston and my LWRC M6A2.
