I am trying to finish up the install of my Adams piston kit on my Adams 5.45 barrel and receiver and am having problems with the spring in the delta ring.  The best I can get it is barely dragging on both sides of the piston drive rod but its still enough that I know it won't function properly.  Do I need to pull the spring back out and modify it in someway or am I missing something easy here?

Ok Im stupid.  I needed to trim some of the spring off and it seemed to fit just fine.
