I like it, but is there a way to stake that knurled nut at the end of it, or is the whole system relying on loctite?

Does not look like the arm will fit inside.  How does it actually fit over the arm?

What good is  QD at the bottom of the brace?  All it will do is rotate the pistol over itself--pretty useless

Annnnnd another one here!  My next pistol is getting one of these for sure.

Any chance there's a way for you guys to legally make a version that clamps to a standard buffer tube? With all the adjustable braces coming out that pull it off, it's got my wheels turning.

A pistol extension is meant for a pistol, a regular receiver extension is meant for a rifle. An arm brace is meant for a pistol, a stock is meant for a rifle.

I don't think you want manufactures of these braces confusing the two. Keep them separate, keep the ATF happy, and keep pistol braces around.

Pistol braces go on pistol extensions, just keep it that way.

Yeah I just got mine, and there is no way it will tighten down on a 1.10-1.12 tube, not even close. Are you talking about using a spacer of some kind?

Kinda tough finding a 1.20" tube.

I like this!  I really like that the "strap" has minimal exposure.  Well done!  I work at a Doublestar distributor and hope we have these on order!

My review of the Strongarm, using the $20 Brownells pistol buffer tube (among the lightest on the market and 1.15" OD):

https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/New-Strongarm-brace-coming-from-DoubleStar/122-722454/&page=3#i7672688

https://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/recoil-parts/recoil-hardware/ar-15-pistol-buffer-tube-prod102334.aspx

1.12" isn't that much narrower, and I still had more room to tighten it down on mine.  I do agree that some soft shims would be nice to spread the pressure over different size tubes, like some flashlight mounts come with.

I went ahead and ordered the Damage Ind. 1.190 tube, but it was quite pricey compared to what I got my 1.11 and 1.25 tubes for. Seems like it would have been optimum to design this brace for the common 1.25 tubes, with maybe a couple of semi-hard plastic shims included to encompass the other sizes.

Mine has a small bad patch in the anodizing too about the size of a nickel, not enough to warrant returning it, but noticeable and kinda leaves a bad impression seeing as it is a new $100.00 part.

Appreciate the good customer service, thanks for the offer to replace, but again it's not bad enough to worry about, i'll probably just paint it once I get the whole shebang put together and am satisfied with the build.

Having a lady who does custom leatherwork make me a strap w/buckle to replace the velcro, I think it will look pretty cool like that, trying to talk her into putting tiny conchos on it, lol, yeah i'm Texan, we do cheeseball stuff sometimes.

Man, got the tube in and got the whole thing put together (with just a cheap upper I had laying around to see what it would all look like).

Holy crap does it look good! I love that it's all-metal, had to have it that way due to wife's latex allergy of course, but it just looks and feels meaner and more business-like.

And not that she would ever shoulder a brace........but if she did, this would be the FIRST rifle in literally dozens of tries with different set-ups, that actually fits her for length-of-pull....guys, you have no idea how hard it is unless you've done it, to fit a rifle to a woman that's maybe 5'2" with T-rex length arms, small hands, and big boobies.

Damn nice Doublestar, thinking of buying a second one, and using it on her rifle, seems like it would be perfectly legal to shoulder it then with a 16" barrel?

Oh and one more for me.

On the one hand BATFE is prepared to redefine machine guns and on the other one Tech Branch is so drunk they don't even remember the definition of rifle stock.

I'm baffled, but I'll take it.

If you pad the tube with the INTENTION of a more comfortable check weld then you are fine. Putting the tube to your cheek is fine. The intent to do this is fine. The BATFE is playing nice for a change. Let's play nice with them. I love the Strongarm with the KAK SB Tactical tube and a foam cushion. IMHO one of the best arm brace combos going right now.

I just purchased a Primary Weapons Systems Enhanced pistol buffer tube and a Strongarm brace. Hopefully, the two components will be compatible.
